LondonSEO Posh Poseurs Party

by Rob Kerry - Posted on

Yo my homies, it’s your bro EGM here from the mean streets of Rochford – brup brup (and all that jazz).

The Ayima crew are feeling rather musical lately, with MikeN in his boy band and yours truly doing a homage to James Blunt. We then heard that Ciaran “I like shoes more than I really should” Norris was looking to start an SEO Disco, for deck spinning SEOs and music fans alike. So, for one night only, SMX London‘s big LondonSEO party will have a musical accompaniment.

Jewel Covent Garden - Blanca Bar
Jewel Covent Garden - Blanca Bar

The party will take place at Covent Garden’s Jewel Bar on Monday 18th May 2009 (after Day 1 of Search Marketing Expo). We have booked out the whole of the Blanca Bar, with loads of space and its own dedicated bar. As the venue is a little posher than our usual old man pubs, we’d recommend wearing smart casual attire (a casual shirt and jeans, or a smart t-shirt is fine). The party will start at 7pm (giving time to get dinner first or attend SMX London’s networking party) and we can “network” until midnight.

Update!
LondonSEO attendees have been given an exclusive discount on SMX London conference passes. Get 15% off (worth £133.50) by using the discount code LONSEO09.

We do not have a sponsor yet, please let us know if you’d like to sponsor some drinks and get your name up on our site (you can also put out promo material on the night).

If you consider yourself to be a good DJ and would like to play a set, please ping Ciaran on twitter. We’re not looking for people to press play on their iPod, you’ll need to know how to Sphinn spin and mix old-school vinyl. No trance or weird shit please, some of us are old.

The networking party is open to all SMX London attendees and those involved in internet marketing. Gate crashers will get spammed, banned and slammed.

I look forward to seeing you all there. Feel free to leave a comment and let us know you’re coming – especially if you’re new.

The key details:
Date: Monday 18th May 2009

(we’re in the “Blanca Bar” room)

Amsterdam Affiliate Conference

by Rob Kerry - Posted on

iGaming Business is thrilled to announce the latest city to host one of our world-famous online gaming affiliate conferences: Previously titled CAP Euro: Amsterdam… Introducing the newly re-named Amsterdam Affiliate Conference!

The Amsterdam Affiliate Conference (AAC) has opened its admission policy to encourage new affiliate attendees by opening its doors to all iGaming affiliates, eliminating requirements of CAP Forum membership as a prerequisite for free attendance.

Don’t miss the chance to hear the foremost experts in the industry explaining, discussing and deliberating about the strategies and decisions that made them what they are today.

David Irvine, former MIT Blackjack team member, will be giving the keynote speech on insights from his blackjack playing days. David will also be on hand to answer any questions you may have. Take advantage of your chance to listen to one on the men who brought Las Vegas to a betting stand-still.

Our SEO panels have always been greatly attended and, as a result of the hugely successful surgery format that was unveiled at our event in London, we are happy to announce its return at the AAC. We will be hosting another live workshop featuring pre-submitted sites, with a Stella line-up of extremely skilled SEO professionals ready to share their knowledge and experience with you. So, if you would like your site analysed by some of the top SEO experts and to receive some “money can’t buy” tips – Submit your site now for the surgery taking place between 13.45 and 14.45 on Saturday 2nd May by emailing [email protected].

New Forex Sessions
This year’s event will be incorporating a dedicated forex conference stream and exhibition area. Take advantage and learn from the key players in the industry, and meet with exhibitors such as eToro and FOREXYARD to discover how you can expand your horizons and take advantage of one of the most lucrative affiliate niches out there.
For full details of these sessions, including the running times and speaker information go to http://www.amsterdamaffiliateconference.com/index.php/fri

AAC Exhibition
The AAC exhibition will be our biggest expo to date, the event will take place in the largest space since we began and will offer the chance to network and view over 50 exhibitors. Our sales team is still confirming new exhibitors everyday. BetUS, EGO, Partnerlogioc, PartyGaming and many more will be there. This is your chance to connect with the people that make the difference in the industry and all housed under one roof!

Party Time
This wouldn’t be an iGaming Business event without parties. Not only will we be holding a joint networking party with a4u Europe and LondonSEO.org, but it will be taking place on Queen’s day which is also known as a Europe’s biggest bash. Join us as we commemorate the reign of one of Holland’s most loved monarchs and celebrate the start of the biggest iGaming exhibition in the industry. In addition to the Thursday joint networking event we will of course have networking events on the Friday and Saturday nights as well as the infamous Sunday Session complete with an Amsterdam bike tour before the beers all FREE of charge.

Skip the Queues at Registration
We had 1600 delegates in London and we expect nothing less in Amsterdam so, to avoid the rush, the AAC team are giving you the opportunity to pick up your pass and wristband at the Hotel Okura one-day before the exhibition opens. Simply pick up your badge and wristband in the main lobby of the hotel from 12pm onwards on Thursday 30th of April.

Make the most of your first exhibition day and skip the queues. If you intend to take advantage of pre-registration please email [email protected] with your arrival times so we can have all your details ready and available to make your registration experience as smooth as possible.

CAP Euro Sponsors SES London Party

by Rob Kerry - Posted on

CAP Euro Amsterdam

We thought that it would be nigh-on-impossible to find a sponsor for the first big LondonSEO event of 2009, mid-recession, although we were approached today by our friends over at CAP Euro (who sponsored LondonSEO beers for SMX London last year). They have kindly offered to once again supply us with a generous beer fund for our SEO, Affiliate and PPC brethren.

Casino Affiliate Programs Europe (CAP Euro for short) is a company that organises conferences for those involved in internet marketing for the online gaming industry. While other sectors have struggled during the current economic climate, online gaming is as strong as ever and affiliate commissions continue to be prosperous.

From Thursday 30th April to Sunday 3rd May 2009, CAP Euro will be in Amsterdam for an event like no-other. The even-greater thing for you guys is that affiliate marketers and people interested in becoming an affiliate (weekend project, part-time or full-time), can attend both the conference and parties absolutely free! All you’ll need is a cheap EasyJet flight and a bargain hotel room (of which there are many), and you can access the knowledge-base that other conferences charge up to £1,000 for.

You want more? Well our friends at CAP Euro will also be giving away a free stay at the official CAP Euro conference hotel to one lucky winner, during LondonSEO. Everyone that gets a wristband for free beer at Thursday’s event, will also get entered into the draw. Remember to bring business cards with you to LondonSEO, as you’ll need one in order to get a wristband and the liquid love that comes with it.

== IMPORTANT ==
LondonSEO sponsors donate a lot to our attendees, so that we can network and have a good time. Please show your gratitude by helping our sponsors in return.

SES London Speakers – Please mention Thursday’s LondonSEO event (and sponsor) during your presentations, as apparently not everyone knows about LondonSEO.org yet 🙂
SES London & LondonSEO Attendees – Please seriously consider attending CAP Euro in Amsterdam, it is truly a fantastic event (with amazing parties). And let’s face it, a £50 flight to Amsterdam and £200 hotel room is a lot cheaper than attending even the major London conferences.

Lastly, I’m currently in talks with CAP Euro and Matthew Wood from a4u Expo, in an effort to launch our first LondonSEO Abroad. Affiliates4u has a conference in Amsterdam just before CAP Euro, and we will most likely organise a joint party on the day in-between the 2 conferences. More info to come about that, but just another reason why you should join us all at CAP Euro in Amsterdam 🙂

LondonSEO – The Recession Session, February 19th

by Rob Kerry - Posted on

G’day London. It’s time for another LondonSEO event, and as the newest member of the highly organised event management team, it’s fallen upon me to tell you about the event that I couldn’t attend in 2008 due to being on the other side of the bloody world. This was how I felt about the situation, sitting in Seattle.

After much doubt, concern and letters to various MPs, there will indeed be a LondonSEO party during SES London this year. As was the case last year, the event will take place at the Camden Head in Islington. The pub is only a few minutes’ walk from SES London’s venue, the Business Design Centre.

So that’s all excellent, isn’t it? You’d not think that any bad news could come out of such a great post, but unfortunately, we have some. Due to the current state of the economy and the fact that I’ve only just showed up in London and haven’t had time to whip Rob’s organisational skills into shape, we don’t have a sponsor for the upcoming event. But that’s not going to stop a bunch of British SEOs from showing up at this pub though, is it?

Camden Head

To summarise, for those of you who didn’t bother reading my drivel, here are the important details:

Date: Thursday 19st Feb 2009

Time: 17:00 – until late

Venue: Camden Head, Islington

Nearest station: Angel

State your intent to join us by signing up for the Facebook event, or else we might not let you in 😉 See you there!
