What is LondonSEO you ask?

LondonSEO is a quarterly networking meet-up for internet marketing professionals of all sorts (not just SEOs!) to have fun, drink far too much and make new friends in the industry. The meet-ups started in 2005 (yes that long ago) and are still going strong.

London SEO Update

As you may be aware our last London SEO bash was held at The Legion but unfortunately we when contacted them they informed us that it was already booked for a private party. The next choice was Jaguar Shoes, again we came up against an obstacle of a gig taking place the same evening.

Finally a couple of the guys literally stumbled apon this gem where this London SEO meet will now happened, The Assembly.

Conveniently located next to Tower Hill Station.

Should We Postpone?

Spoke to Jason a couple of days ago about Feb’s piss-up meet-up. He mentioned that Syndk8 are having BlackHatSpamCon2006 🙂 for the following 2 days in Manchester.

On checking out the thread it sounds like a great meet – lots of good people going, so I think I’ll join them.

Due to family commitments I won’t be able to do both events myself, but the London meet can obviously still go ahead if others are up for it.

Would 3 days of solid SEOcialising (think I’ll trademark that name) be too much for people? Or should we postpone for a few weeks?

Next Pubcon Announced

Finally we have decided on a date – Thursday 9th February.

There’s not really so much in the way of a plan, apart from getting yourself down to The Legion in Old Street, London for about 7ish.

Then partake in the age-old SEO Pubcon tradition of drinking and chatting.

Everyone from the first meet is coming plus hopefully a few more

First PubCon

On the 6th December we had the first meetup of our new monthly SEO PubCon social event in London.

We decided to start this, as there’s a lot of great SEOs in the UK and it seemed crazy only meeting up when Pubcon or SES is in town.

So, after a nice Vietnamese meal,

we headed down to The Legion, Old Street to start the social (drinking). There were only 11 of us, but we drank enough for 50.

So the next London SEO gathering will probably happen in January, and this time it is an open invitation, but please register so we have an idea of numbers.
