LondonSEO Returns with a little help from Further

by Rob Kerry - Posted on

The sun has returned (with a smattering of volcanic debris), so it’s high time we got our party organising in gear. This time it coincides with SMX Advanced London 2010.

The details are as follows:

Date/Time: Tuesday 18th May 2010, 18:00 onwards
Venue: Shakespeareโ€™s Head
Address: Africa House, 64-78 Kingsway, London, W1F 7HZ
Nearest Tube Station: Holborn (Central & Picadilly Line)
[Google Map] [Bing Map]

We have an area reserved, so just head towards the back of the pub and look out for us, I doubt we’ll be too difficult to spot. ๐Ÿ™‚

The pub is where many a thesp (and we all know there are enough drama queens in the industry!) and Charles Dickens have supped their ale, plus itโ€™s around the corner from the New Connaught Rooms – so we expect to see you there!

To make the merriment even more merry, our friends at Further.co.uk have kindly offered to put their card behind the bar for a few beers. The Further.co.uk guys will be giving out drink wristbands, so go over and say thanks for the beer!

  1. Excellent news! You’re brill for organising this Rob!

And hey – news – I am at a new job!

I will, on course, bring chocolate to share!

  2. l33t 5k1llz Ekky! Thanks for pulling this one off. Obviously PRINCE training is extremely useful!
(yes, I do actually believe that kind of training can be useful but I never got any so it could all be smoke and mirrors ๐Ÿ˜€ )

  3. Thanks guys, let see if that PRINCE2 qualification can come good on this London SEO! Look forward to seeing you there. ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Pfft, showing us up by organising the event with minimal drama and effort! You’re on duty from now on, Uncle Ekky ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. There’s still a month to go for it all to go belly up yet. I’ll be the one crying in the corner passing the baton back to Coppi… ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. looking forward to it again guys –

note to self: come in to London by train that day. no more repeats of the journey home down the A2 that I had after the seoMoz drink-up

  7. I’ll be sorry to miss this one as I am catching my train back to Paris @ 19.00 that evening :(. It sounds like i’ll be a great one with sponsored free beer and all

  8. Damn it Ekky….these things are always organised while I’m away ๐Ÿ˜‰

I haven’t been to one of the events for a few years now, can you do one around the start of July…pretty please….

    1. Hey Ad, can’t remember the last time I saw you or your good lady wife, leave it much longer and I’ll start to take it personally. Will let you know the next shindig we organise!

  9. Hi Uncle Ekky, nice to meet you. The event sounds like a blast. I’d love that where I live. I’d love to see a schedule of events. Even though I can’t be there, taking care of the beer sounds like something we may be able to do sometime.

    1. Hi Jim, the event is a careful mix of one part SEO and two parts booze, a winning formula I think you’ll agree. Offers of beer are always kindly received but you should really come and check it out, can’t promise the hang over will be pleasant though…

    +1

  11. Looking forward to these coming two days, I just hope there is a clear route back to Oxford once I have copious amounts of alcohol in me! ๐Ÿ˜€

  12. Hmm.. the postcode on this page is wrong!

WC2B 6BG is the proper postcode.. hope many people don’t end up at the wrong Shakespeare’s head!

  13. Edward Tuffte on Wednesday night, getting drunk with a group of Elite SEO peeps, what to do on Friday……. (sleeeeeep)
