What is LondonSEO you ask?

LondonSEO is a quarterly networking meet-up for internet marketing professionals of all sorts (not just SEOs!) to have fun, drink far too much and make new friends in the industry. The meet-ups started in 2005 (yes that long ago) and are still going strong.

Don’t be shy, come along to the next one!

LondonSEO & SearchLove team up: Next Event Sponsored By Moz!

by Janaya Wilkins - Posted on

We are excited to join forces with SearchLove, one of the biggest Search conferences in the UK. Our next event takes place on Tuesday the 28th October, the second night of the two-day conference. It all takes place at The Trader on Whitecross Street in Barbican, where we’ll be trading stories over drinks all night long.

It’s been almost six months since our previous LondonSEO event, so we’ll have to make up for that drought with plenty of good beer and great chat. If this is your first time, and as is always the case, the event is open to everyone within the realm of digital marketing — not just SEOs! Bring your entire team, whether they made it to SearchLove or not, though we’re willing to bet they did.

None of this would be possible without our sponsor, Moz. They will be putting some cash behind the bar, so make sure you give them a pat on the back on the night. And last but certainly not least: Be sure to remember your business cards (preferably your own!) to receive your free drink upon entry.

More details:

Date/Time: Tuesday 28th October 2014, 6 p.m. until late

Venue: The Trader, 142-146 Whitecross Street, London, EC1Y 8QJ

Nearest Tube Station: Old Street and Barbican (both are London Underground)

Maps: Google Maps

Cost: Free + Buy Your Own (no invite needed)

We look forward to seeing you all there!

LondonSEO & SMX are Coming Back to Chelsea!

by Janaya Wilkins - Posted on

So it’s that time again! When SMX and LondonSEO join forces to put on an epic evening of beer, banter and high-fives.

I was going to start this post with a blag about Chelsea’s victory in the Champions League, Tuesday night. But let’s face it, as a kiwi girl who doesn’t know the difference between a forward and a mid-fielder, it’s a losing battle, and would end up like this or this.

LondonSEO has been going strong for about 9 years and has seen some quality antics, usually kicked off with Jägerbombs and is usually on a weeknight (never a good idea). Everyone is welcome!  Agencies  – bring your SEO team! In-house Search Marketers, you too! Don’t be shy, we’re a welcoming bunch so spread the word.

The fun will take place at the end of Day 1 of SMX London next month at Frankie’s American bar & diner, only a short walk from the football club.  Their drinks list comprises of everything from Meantime pale ale, Sierra Nevada and Moretti to Guinness and…wait for it… Appletini’s for Rob Kerry “hey, can I get an Appletini, easy on the tini?”).

For your viewing pleasure, here are some snaps from the last LondonSEO…

LondonSEO Event, May 2013

Ayima will be putting some cash behind the bar (you’re welcome), but we’re still looking for another sponsor.  So if you’re feeling the need to be the coolest company in Search, then slap some cash behind that bar, don’t give it a second thought – get in touch! You’ll get everyone’s business card in return and forever be known as the awesome folks who shouted everyone a pint.

It’s been a while since the Ayima crew has ventured as far as Chelsea – they don’t usually make it outside of EC1 unless it’s a trip to Bodean’s BBQ joint or Nando’s (cc Ian Pereira). It’s such a special occasion, that they’re even flying their very own David S over from their NYC office and he’s also speaking at SMX on Day 2 (so he’ll be on his best behaviour on Tuesday night).

If you don’t have your SMX ticket yet, fear not! For you my friend, can still register here. But as always, ticket or no ticket, you’re still welcome to join the family at LondonSEO.

Just don’t forget to bring a business card to receive your free beer on entry!

More details:

Date/Time: Tuesday 13th May 2014, 7pm until late (but we’ll be there warming up from 6:30pm onwards).

Venue: Frankies, Stamford Bridge, Fulham Road, London SW6 1HS

Nearest Tube Station: Fulham Broadway (District Line) and Imperial Wharf (London Overground).

Cost: Free + Buy Your Own (no invite needed)

We look forward to seeing you all soon!

SMX London & LondonSEO – 16 May

by Jane Copland - Posted on

Hi everyone,

It’s now been nearly a year since we had a proper LondonSEO event, and for that we’re very sorry! We’ve arranged a meet-up after the conclusion of SMX London in two weeks’ time at the Pelican in Fulham (Facebook page). Ayima will be sponsoring the drinks, so please arrive with your livers in full working order.

The Pelican is a very short walk from SMX’s venue, the Chelsea Football Club. As per usual, LondonSEO is open to everyone in the SEO industry, whether you’ve attended the conference or not. Just bring a business card (preferably yours, but bonus points for bringing one of Rob Kerry’s) and grab a pint.

We’ll be at the pub from 6pm onwards. If you’re coming from elsewhere, the closest tube stations are Fulham Broadway (District Line) and Imperial Wharf (London Overground).

See you there!
