The LondonSEO Big Party at SES London 2011

by Rob Kerry - Posted on

SearchmetricsIt seems like just yesterday, but it was 5 years ago that LondonSEO held its first Big Party for SES London. We made many new friends at the 2006 event and look forward to making many more at this year’s get-together. Check out the fantastic Moss Bros suit I was sporting back then 😉

LondonSEO is, and always will be, about having fun and making new friends + business contacts. No bullshit – just great conversation and happy memories.

Search Engine Strategies London will be held at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre this year in Westminster, so we’ll be moving to a new pub close to the SES venue.

We’re also delighted to announce that this year’s sponsor of the Big Party will be Searchmetrics, who offer a suite of SEO Software for SME’s and Blue Chips alike. They’ll be putting their card behind the bar for many hundreds of pints, so please say hello to them and take a look at their service offering.

Now here are the details that you’re looking for…

As always no conference pass is required in order to attend LondonSEO, just bring along a business card to exchange for your beer pass. Whether you’re attending SES London 2011 or just looking to enjoy some search marketing banter over beer, you’re always welcome at LondonSEO.

SEOmoz / Distilled PRO Seminar LondonSEO, Bloomsbury

by Rob Kerry - Posted on

Hi guys,

We are putting on a LondonSEO following the SEOmoz / Distilled PRO Seminar on the evening of October 26. The event will be at the Plough in Bloomsbury, which is a lot closer to the seminar location and official hotel than the pub we chose last year!

We have an upstairs room reserved from 7pm, although the room isn’t terribly big. However, the rest of the pub shouldn’t be too busy, as we’ll be in there on a Tuesday. The guys at Distilled have also agreed to fund the night to the tune of a £1,000 bar tab. We’ll be handing out cards to use as beer currency when you arrive.

If by some chance the pub does become very full, check out the Museum Tavern on an adjacent corner as well.

Holborn, Tottenham Court Road, Goodge Street and Russell Square tube stations are all very close by. We’re looking forward to seeing lots of you next Tuesday!

Don’t Be A Dick, Go To PubCon

It’s PubCon Vegas next month and there’s never been a better reason to go. Vegas hotels are suffering in the recession and slashing prices, airlines are offering some killer deals and LondonSEO has secured an exclusive 30% discount code on all PubCon passes!

The event runs between Monday 8th to Thursday 11th November, just a month away. Pubcon differs from the average internet marketing conference, covering topics such as Domaining, Reputation Management, Tech Stuff and being an Affiliate. If you fancy going to another conference and need to explain to your boss why it’s different from the last conference you attended, take a look at Pubcon’s agenda.

Not only will LondonSEO save you $360 off the All Access Pass (making it even cheaper than the early bird discounted rate), our friend Mr Trump is also offering hotel rooms at his 5-star Trump International Hotel Las Vegas at silly rates. The official conference hotel is the Wynn (which is awesome), but a return flight from London Heathrow plus 6 nights at Donald’s crib can be snapped up on Expedia for just £830!

So to conclude:

  • Get a massive discount on a conference pass
  • Stay at a 5-star hotel for less money than a bright orange easyHotel
  • Meet people who don’t attend the other conferences
  • Make new industry friends and potential clients
  • Buy me a drink for saving you money and twisting your arm 😉

Almost forgot…
The magical discount coupon is: rk-5928430

Cheers my dears,

Rob Kerry

LondonSEO Returns with a little help from Further

by Rob Kerry - Posted on

The sun has returned (with a smattering of volcanic debris), so it’s high time we got our party organising in gear. This time it coincides with SMX Advanced London 2010.

The details are as follows:

Date/Time: Tuesday 18th May 2010, 18:00 onwards
Venue: Shakespeare’s Head
Address: Africa House, 64-78 Kingsway, London, W1F 7HZ
Nearest Tube Station: Holborn (Central & Picadilly Line)
[Google Map] [Bing Map]

We have an area reserved, so just head towards the back of the pub and look out for us, I doubt we’ll be too difficult to spot. 🙂

The pub is where many a thesp (and we all know there are enough drama queens in the industry!) and Charles Dickens have supped their ale, plus it’s around the corner from the New Connaught Rooms – so we expect to see you there!

To make the merriment even more merry, our friends at Further.co.uk have kindly offered to put their card behind the bar for a few beers. The Further.co.uk guys will be giving out drink wristbands, so go over and say thanks for the beer!
